Ken responded to our questions and requests pretty quickly and communications are easy.

Yan H.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay this winter season. Ken was a very responsive host, providing suggestions for places to go and answer questions about where things were located in the house. He proactively told us that the oven wasn’t working before we arrived and took immediate steps to make it right–he’s a stand-up person and we highly recommend staying anywhere he is a host.

Becky H.

Wonderful cabin for staying in the winter, a lot of space inside and outside, kids can enjoy the snow right in front of the house. 3 bedrooms are pretty spacious and cozy. Kitchen is clean.

Jian H.

Tahoe Donner is a wonderful place to stay. Near to Truckee restaurants and excellent area for snow shoeing & XC skiing. Host was a good communicator. This house was clean, spacious, and had good heating. It is sparse in terms of aesthetics and a bit dark. So don’t expect a “warm feel”, bit it is functional.

Sharone A.

Fantastic stay – beds were very comfortable and the house was well-stocked with kitchen items and spacious. Nearby HOA facility was great but does cost $20 per guest per day. Easy drive into Truckee and several ski resorts in North Tahoe from the place. The guide and instructions for the house were very clear. Ken was a great host and easy to communicate with – highly recommend!

This Airbnb was a great find and the host, Ken, was very communicative and responsive. The house is super clean, in a great location and comfortable. We had an awesome time visiting this area and would definitely rent this house again. Great location!

Brandi E.

We had a great stay here! The location is great – under 30 mins to Palisades on most days, 10 minutes into downtown Truckee.
We used the Trout Creek Rec Centre to get in a workout and loved being able to take our pup for walks along the golf course (which is closed during winter).
Kitchen was well equipped and the beds really comfortable.

Ken made the check in process easy and was a dream to communicate with through the stay.

Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful home in a very very peaceful neighborhood. We loved the house. Kitchen was very recently remodeled. Bathrooms need some love next. overall wonderful house and would definitely come back.

Thanks for having us

Overall good stay for a group of 6 people .
The property was clean , beds were comfortable , bedding configuration worked well for us .
Property is old-ish so bathroom doors didn’t lock (wood absorbed moisture over time and expanded).
Check out was 10am instead of 11am .
But overall we had a nice stay .

Lilit was a good guest but very critical of an economy rental that we clearly state on our listing we aren’t hiding the fact that this rental is economy. Not every Airbnb is perfect or filled with amenities, when you book a cabin for 8 guests for 2 nights for less then 800$ in summer high season on a weekend the last thing an accommodating host needs is to point out every minor thing in a home and complain about not having a hot tub etc if we don’t advertise this in the listing why are you complaining to us when I’m providing a nice stay for 8 guests with Tahoe Donner amenities in a great location close to down town. Other than that cabin was left in good shape I suggest booking a luxury rental next stay based on your expectations.

Lilit A.

The cabinet looks better in pictures than in person.

Pros: great location, clean house (except the walls are dirty), updated kitchen, great host instructions with local recommendations.

Cons:The house needs lots of maintenance, has a distinct smell, walls are dirty, lots of spiders inside, spiderwebs in the master bathroom, not all bathroom door locks worked, the porch was very dirty and full of spiderwebs, all the windows from outside had lots of spiderwebs, not even a single pillow on the couches for comfortable lounge.

We encountered a plumbing issue, the property manager was quick to resolve it. When some of the issues were pointed out, although he acknowledged the issues and tried fixing what he could, his comment was we paid economy price and half of the usual cleaning fee. We weren’t expecting a luxury stay for what we paid but basic things such as working locks on bathroom doors, lounge pillows, clean deck and couple of clean outdoor chairs are expected at any price point

Lilit A.

The place was lovely, big enough and clean and beautiful area. The only criticism is the late check in and early check out apart from that will visit again!

Benjamin H.

House needs work. Upstairs master bathroom shower needs to be regrouted or better yet retiled. Gray or brown grout on tile looks moldy or re-colored. White caulking was used to cover damaged or dingy grout. No widow cover in master bathroom. Dull old paint on outside of the house makes the place looked dated. One outside window sill was replace with unpainted wood. Downstairs kitchen area and living rooms has been updated and comfortable. The rest of the house should follow suit.

Airbnb, I can provide pictures is needed.

Glenn M.

We loved our stay here! The location was great, very peaceful neighborhood, close to Donner Lake and about 25 minutes to Tahoe. Ken was very responsive and helpful, too.

The space had everything we needed. Three large bedrooms and indoor and outdoor seating. The kitchen was well-equipped, too.

Thanks for a great stay!

Ginger M.

Comfy place with a great host.
