5 stars! We absolutely loved our extended holiday vacation in this beautiful condo. The kitchen was fully stocked and the house was thoughtfully curated with games and goodies. The proximity to the village at Northstar was awesome – it was either a quick and easy 5 min shuttle ride or 10-15 min walk or snow shoe. We also loved having access to the gym and pool/hot tubs at the Rec center. Ken & Hillary were great to work with – super fast responses to our minor condo questions and helpful working with us through an unplanned extension due to weather. Our family loved our stay on Silver Strike and will definitely stay here again!

Spacious and spotless!

Hilary’s place is a very cool spot if you’re going to vacation at Lake Tahoe. It’s perfectly nestled between the lake and woods so whether I was swimming/hiking/shopping/eating out nothing was more than 15 minutes away. Plus her home was spacious and spotless!

Great stay and would stay here again. If you want to be close to North Star this is it. Easy to get to the slops on bus. House was comfortable. Minor hiccup when we got there (no running water) but Ken quickly got back to us with the fix. They just turned the water off and it was easy to get it going again.

Ken’s place is located in a really convenient location, with a shuttle stop right out front, and we found that we could ski home straight from the village run which was really nice! The rooms themselves were really well equipped with fun board games, washer and dryer, and other amenities. Also, Ken provides an extremely thorough guide complete with all the information you need to know about the area. Overall it was a really cozy experience!

Property is as described – super cozy, private and comfortable (the sofa upstairs is a highlight and perfect for curling up after a big day on the slopes!) — and it is on the Northstar shuttle route so you can arrive and ski/hike/explore without needing to worry about alternative parking etc.

We LOVED this place!! My favorite part was how walkable it was. It was a lovely 10-minute hike to “The Village,” which is super charming and where there’s everything you need: little grocery store/cafe, restaurants, rental gear, lift tickets, gondola to the slopes, movie theater, shops, ice skating rink, etc. I literally pulled up, parked, unpacked the car, and we just walked almost the rest of the time. We got plenty of steps every day! We did drive our ski/snowboard gear to a free parking lot one day to try and get closer to the slopes, but it wasn’t all that much closer.

The walk from the Condo to the Village is a little far to do in snow boots, so I just strapped them together and threw them over my shoulder. Super convenient.

Next favorite part was the kitchen. It had everything I need: blender, extra virgin olive oil, avocado oil, measuring spoons and cups, pots and pans. We were set. We’ll definitely come here again.

Ken’s place is awesome for 2 couples! The shuttle to ski was convenient. Do note you cannot ski to the house via village run (noted in another review). The ski storage closet was also unavailable for use, but we just brought our stuff inside. The lounge area upstairs was the best!

Stayed here with my husband, son and dogs for a ski trip. Check-in, parking, and check-out instructions were clear. Place was very clean. Kitchen was well stocked. Bathrooms had all the necessary toiletries which was nice in case you forgot something like lotion, toothbrush or toothpaste. Shuttle stop is in the parking lot and is a short drive to the village. Will definitely come back.
