In the summer, enjoy miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, the Beach Club Marina, golf course, tennis and pickleball courts, an equestrian center, and multiple dining options throughout the community; in the winter, the Downhill Ski Resort and Cross Country Ski Center—one of the top-rated Nordic centers in North America—are right at your doorstep. Downtown Truckee is a short drive away, offering a vibrant mix of locally owned restaurants, boutique shops, breweries, and year-round events, while Lake Tahoe is approximately 20 minutes away, providing access to world-class beaches, water sports, and iconic lake views. Whether you are here for the mountains, the trails, the lake, or the stillness of the Sierra Nevada, this location places everything within easy reach.

Access

Guests have full access to the entire home, including all four bedrooms, three bathrooms, the fully equipped kitchen, living and dining areas, game room, all private decks, the garage, and driveway. Two locked owner’s closets are the only areas not accessible to guests. Everything else is yours to enjoy freely and fully throughout your stay.
Tahoe Donner Short-Term Tenant Cards — Access the Full Resort Community
This property participates in the Tahoe Donner Short-Term Tenant Card program, providing your group with six transferable cards that unlock access to Tahoe Donner’s world-class private amenities for the duration of your stay. Six cards is the maximum number permitted per property by Tahoe Donner, making this home ideally suited for groups looking to take full advantage of the community.
Amenities accessible with your Short-Term Tenant Cards include the Trout Creek Recreation Center and pools, the Golf Course, Tennis and Pickleball Courts, Beach Club Marina during summer months, the Cross Country Ski and Snowshoe Center, and Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Resort during winter months.
Daily Access Fees apply per person upon entry and are as follows: children ages 0 to 2 are free, children ages 3 to 6 are $10 per day, and guests ages 7 and older are $30 per day. These fees are paid directly at the amenity upon arrival.
Please note that Short-Term Tenant Cards are subject to blackout dates on the following holidays, during which private amenity access is reserved for Tahoe Donner members: January 17 to 19 (MLK Day), February 14 to 16 (Presidents Day), May 23 to 25 (Memorial Day), July 1 to 5 (Fourth of July), September 5 to 7 (Labor Day), November 26 to 29 (Thanksgiving), and December 24 through January 3 of the following year (Christmas and New Year’s holiday period). Public amenities remain open to short-term tenants on all dates with no blackout restrictions.

Transit

A personal vehicle is the recommended and most practical way to explore the area during your stay. 16505 Ski Slope Way is situated in a residential mountain community, and having your own car gives your group the freedom to move between Tahoe Donner, downtown Truckee, Lake Tahoe, and surrounding destinations on your own schedule. Parking is plentiful with a private garage and driveway accommodating multiple vehicles comfortably.
Within Tahoe Donner, most of the community amenities are a short drive from the property. The Downhill Ski Resort, Cross Country Ski Center, Trout Creek Recreation Center, Golf Course, and Beach Club Marina are all reachable within five to ten minutes by car. During peak ski season, Tahoe Donner operates a shuttle service between select community locations, which can be a convenient option for getting to and from the slopes without the hassle of parking.
Downtown Truckee is approximately ten minutes away by car and is easily walkable once you arrive. The historic downtown strip is compact and pedestrian friendly, making it ideal for an afternoon of dining, shopping, and exploring on foot.
Lake Tahoe is approximately 20 minutes south via Highway 267 or Interstate 80, with Kings Beach and Tahoe City among the closest lakeside destinations. Reno-Tahoe International Airport is roughly 45 minutes east on Interstate 80, making it the most convenient major airport for guests flying in.
For those who prefer not to drive, ride share services including Uber and Lyft operate in the Truckee area, though availability can vary during peak holiday periods. It is always a good idea to plan ahead during busy weekends and ski season.

During your stay, we will check in once or twice to make sure everything is going perfectly, but beyond that, we follow your lead—whether you prefer ongoing communication or complete privacy.
