Ken house at truckee feels like home. We loved our stay at Ken’s house. The house was clean when we arrived . The walls looks like just got fresh paint . The bedrooms and the beds are very comfortable. The house has everything you need Many plates, glasses, cutlery , pots, towels and sheets . The house is located in a great area, near two supermarkets and places to eat.

Ken was a fantastic host. My family had an incredible vacation and would highly recommend staying in the Truckee/Tahoe area to everyone. A definite 5-star rating.

Cayle P.

Ken is an outstanding host. He is extremely responsive, proactive and a terrific, efficient communicator. He also set (at least for me) the gold standard for “before you get here” communications, in the form of a 89 page (!) guidebook to the property, the surroundings, restaurants, ski-shops, where everything is and how everything works. Whoa! When I asked Ken for recommendations for Ski rentals, he steered us to exactly the right place within an hour. The cabin was spotless, well-stocked, and in every way as described. Zero surprises, which is how it should be. I can 100% recommend Ken and am looking forward to renting from him again.

This place is super cozy and clean at a great value! It’s located near Tahoe Donner which offers a lot of amenities for the folks with you who may not want to ski. Lots of towels provided and an extra set of blankets for the pullout couch in the living room. Kitchen is well-stocked (seasonings, ziplock bags, parchment paper) and wood is provided to start a fire! Our host Ken was really flexible and a great communicator. Thank you for the great stay!

Ken was super responsive and super friendly. This home was perfect for my family and we all enjoyed our time here. Perfect location. Overall great and would recommend this home to others and stay here again!

Victoria L.

Great place, very accommodating and had everything we needed. Host was great at communicating and he gave a provided guidebook which was very helpful!

Prithvi S.

We had a wonderful time in this house with our family! The house fully matches the description: clean, cozy, very spacious and bright. It has everything needed for a comfortable stay — comfortable beds, fresh towels and linens, a fully equipped kitchen (all appliances work perfectly), air conditioning, washer and dryer, and fast Wi-Fi.

Natalia L.

Excellent stay. Ken was very attentive. Great single story cabin, perfect for my family of 5.

Sanaz M.

Good spot, I would say sleeps 8 rather than 10

Peter G.

Met our needs perfectly. Easy check-in and great response time on questions we had.

Ken’s place was clean, comfortable, and convenient.
Would definitly stay there again

Ken’s home is a great place to stay if you’re looking for a simple cozy home with scenic views nestled in the heart of Truckee. There were no issues with any appliances and the check in/out procedures were simple and fair.

We didn’t take advantage of the local beach club amenities as we were simply there to visit family in Old Greenwood. We booked Ken’s home because it was spacious, generally affordable, pet-friendly for our small dog, and very convenient.

My one and only complaint is the outlets didn’t work in the bathroom of the room I was staying in. Obviously this is very insignificant and I didn’t actively reach out to try and rectify the issue, in hindsight it could’ve been something as simple as switching a breaker back on.

If the need arose to stay in Truckee again, we wouldn’t hesitate to book this property a second time. Our experience was great. Thank you to Ken for being kind and hospitable throughout our stay.

Josh L.

Nice and clean house. Ken is helpful and provides detail check in instruction! Highly recommended!

Hao L.

Our group of 3 families spent the Thanksgiving weekend at Ken’s place and loved it! Thank you for hosting us!

Sowmya J.

Nice location, close to the ski resorts. Clean and cozy place to live. Maybe a bit packed for 10 people but should fit 8 nice and easy

Truckee, California, United States

By Car – The Most Reliable Option

A personal vehicle is the easiest way to explore Tahoe Donner and the greater Truckee area. The home offers driveway parking for multiple vehicles (garage use only if specified), and flat access makes winter arrivals more manageable than in higher-elevation neighborhoods. You’re just minutes from Tahoe Donner Downhill, the Cross Country Center, Donner Lake, and downtown Truckee.

Uber, Lyft, and local taxi companies operate in the area, though availability may be limited during storms, holidays, or late evenings. Scheduling ahead is recommended.

Walking & Biking

Tahoe Donner’s extensive network of hiking and biking trails begins close to the cabin. Guests often enjoy exploring greenbelts, forest paths, and community amenities without needing to drive.

Traveling Beyond Truckee

The Truckee Amtrak station and Truckee Tahoe Airport are both nearby. Reno-Tahoe International Airport is roughly 45 minutes away via I-80.

You can reach us through the booking platform, phone, or text—whichever is easiest for you. We respect your privacy and give you plenty of space to enjoy your time in the mountains, but we may check in briefly to ensure everything is going well.

We are not staffed overnight, so for life-threatening emergencies, please call 911. Non-urgent messages received after 9 PM will be addressed first thing in the morning.

Our goal is simple: clear communication, dependable support, and a personal touch throughout your stay. Whether you’re here for skiing, hiking, or a peaceful Truckee retreat, we’re here to help make your visit memorable.
